
1. Purpose
This policy sets out the principles governing Bassel®’s use of air, road, and maritime logistics services to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and transparent transportation of goods across global operations.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all air cargo, road transportation, and maritime shipping activities conducted on behalf of Bassel®, including international, regional, cross-border, and inland logistics operations.
3. Approved Logistics Partners
Bassel® cooperates exclusively with approved and reputable air, road, and maritime logistics providers that:
Operate in compliance with applicable international and local transportation regulations,
Meet industry standards for safety, reliability, and operational integrity,
Demonstrate proven experience, particularly in complex and emerging markets, including Africa.
All engagements are conducted strictly on a service-provider basis.
4. No Representation or Binding Authority
Air, road, and maritime logistics partners:
Are not authorized to represent Bassel®,
Have no authority to bind Bassel®, enter into commitments, or make representations on its behalf,
Act solely within the limits of their contractual service agreements.
Nothing in this policy shall be construed as creating agency, partnership, joint venture, or mandate relationships.
5. Mandate & Communication Framework
All logistics operations are coordinated through Bassel®’s designated mandates and internal control mechanisms.
All communications, instructions, and approvals related to logistics activities must be conducted exclusively through the relevant mandate or the authorized Bassel® department.
6. Compliance & Risk Management
Bassel® requires that all air, road, and maritime logistics operations comply with:
Applicable customs, transport, export control, and trade regulations,
International aviation, maritime, and road transportation safety standards,
Sanctions, embargo, and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements,
Ethical sourcing and non-criminal origin principles.
Where required, risk assessments may be conducted prior to shipment or transit.
7. ESG & Responsible Operations
Bassel® encourages logistics partners to:
Minimize environmental impact,
Adhere to internationally recognized ESG principles,
Respect human rights and labor standards throughout the logistics and transportation chain.
8. Documentation & Transparency
All air, road, and maritime shipments must be supported by accurate, complete, and verifiable documentation, including but not limited to:
Transport and shipping documents,
Compliance and regulatory declarations,
Cargo origin, transit, and destination records.
9. Monitoring & Review
Bassel® reserves the right to:
Review and audit logistics arrangements,
Suspend or terminate cooperation with any logistics provider that fails to meet this policy or applicable legal standards.
This policy is subject to periodic review and update by the relevant Bassel® departments.
